Being the professional of your own life!

A mindset shift that for me began back when I became the Director of Public Health.

Being the professional in my career as I was responsible for the over all health and well-being for my community. I wanted to make sure I had the habits to show up and fulfill on my commitments.

I was supported well in cultivating these habits in my professional career. I was awarded an Exemplary Service Award for my public health service through passion, advocacy, trust building and community engagement. 

I was able to achieve a high level of success because I follow these simple principles I'm about to tell you about. 

So when I started my own business in 2016 I took the same principles from my professional career into my entrepreneurial life and began witnessing similar success. 

Then into my purposeFULL life.

They can support you as well if you are desiring to create the life of your hearts desires?

You are likely already practicing these in your work or career.

You can now take these same principles into your life of purpose.

~ Show up no matter what
~ Stay committed over the long haul
~ Do not over identify with your job
~ Become the master of your talents
~ Have a sense of honor for your line of service
~ Spend time frequently visioning your ideal life

Do these sound familiar? I bet when it comes to your job or career you show up every day even when you don't feel like or or don't want to...

Must of us are taught to give our all to our work, employers and career. 

So way is it hard for you to do the same for things that come from your heart? Such as a side hustle, new business adventure, hobby or writing project? Just to name a couple...

If you are anything like me when I began my own business I believed it would be just as easy to take these same principles that I found great success with in my professional career and have the same success in my business. 

Well guess what??? The dirty little dragon of resistance came in and I had to get tuff and take back my mindset and control of my life. 

I had to be intentional about being the professional of my OWN life!

My OWN business.

Here's the thing love, when you begin following your own heart, your own desires. It's the natural law of resistance that comes in and wants to know how badly do you "want" this said thing?

Are you willing to continue to show up everyday for YOU?

Are you willing to master your talents and share them with others?

Are you willing to do what it takes by not giving up?

This is when being the professional in YOUR OWN LIFE becomes vital to experiencing the life you know is possible for you and/or your family!

Awareness is the first step to growth.

Now ask yourself am I, or have I been showing up as the professional in my own life?
